Meet The Staff!

Portia Propst - Director, 1985 Graduate from RJ Reynolds High School.  
Portia graduated from NC State 1989 w/a degree in business management.  
She opened Central Carolina Gymnastics in August 1992.  Portia started
gymnastics when she was 6 years old, competed to a National Level in High
School and received a gymnastics scholarship to NC State.  Nationally
ranked Junior Olympic and NCAA Gymnastics Official.  Portia is involved
with Special Olympics, recipient of the Governor's Award for outstanding
volunteer service and she was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as
an outstanding business leader.  Portia has two children, Haley 20, who
received a full gymnastics scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh and
Kellan 16, who's actively involved with Soccer, Basketball and Golf.
 

Lisa Wilson - 1994 Graduate of North Davidson High School. Lisa graduated in
1997 from DCCC with a degree in Computer Science. She has been employed
with Central Carolina Gymnastics since May of 1996.  She loves teaching
tumbling classes and her favorite event is floor.  She has a passion for working
out, and spending time with family.  
Abbie Lanham - 2010 Graduate of Central Davidson. She love spending time
with her family. Abbie has been apart of CCG since she was 3yrs old.  She
qualified for 3 Jr. Olympic Nationals and made it to a level 10 gymnast. Her
favorite gymnastics class is team.
Tori Rhodes: Is a graduate of Central Davidson and a student at NC State,
majoring in elementary education.  Tori loves teaching bars and has been
apart of Central Carolina since she was 2yrs old.  Outside of work she enjoys
spending time with her friends and family!  She loves playing tennis.
 
Carrie Wilson -  2013 Graduate of West Davidson. She is currently attending
Davidson County Community College, majoring in Physical Therapy.  Carries
started gymnastics as a preschooler and competed for 4 years.  She has
coached gymnastics with CCG for 2 years.  Her favorite event is bars.
Amber Decker - 2005 graduate of West Davidson - Graduate of Davidson
County Community College with an Associates Degree in Business.  Amber
started gymnastics when she was 4yrs old and competed 10 years to a level 8
gymnast. Her favorite clases are team and preschool.  She loves  spending
time with her family.  Amber enjoys making several trips a year to the beach for
relaxation.
Jessica Byrd - 2013 Graduate of East Davidson. Currently attending Dental
Assisting School.  Jessica loves teaching tumbling classes and her favorite
event is floor.  Loves spending time swimming and taking Daisy, her dog on
walks.  She's an outdoors girl and likes hiking during her spare time.
Erin Mounts:  Is a 2015 graduate of North Davidson and is currently attending
Davidson County Community College.  She will graduate in 2020 with an
Associates in Business.  Erin has been an employee with Central Carolina
Gymnastics since June 2015 and loves to teach Advanced Girls.  She has 4
years of gymnastics and 12 years of Cheerleading.  Erin has 4 sisters and 2
pups (German Shepard and Lab Mix) that she loves spending time with
.
Hannah Thomas:  Will graduate from Central Davidson in 2017.  She has been
an employee since April 2016 and loves coaching our Mighty Hopper because
she loves watching them progress to team level.  Hannah was a competitive
gymnast and cheerleader.  She loves hanging with friends and family. She has
6 brothers and 2 sisters.  
Ellen Morris: 1997 Graduate from North Davidson High School.  Ellen
graduated from High Point University 2010 with a degree in Special Education.
She has been employed with Central Carolina Gymnastics since 2014.  Ellen is
an instructor with our recreational students and our summer camp program.  
She loves working with all the students here as each one brings something
different for her to learn.  She was a student here with CCG when the doors
first opened and now enjoys being a gymnast mom.  Ellen has two kids Sadie
and Jayce
Claudia: Will graduate Central Davidson High School 2017.  She has been
employed with Central Carolina Gymnastics since June 2015.  Claudia loves
teaching our preschool classes and overall enjoys working with all students
that visit our gym.  She has a sister named Lauren and a brother named Sam.
